Mainstream providers

Use supported account or API connections for services such as DeepSeek, OpenAI, Kimi, Gemini, Grok, and Anthropic. Availability and billing remain with the provider.

Voice library

Start with more than 100 free online voices. Save combinations of voice, speed, pitch, and volume for more than 1,000 free variations.

Local control

Review conversations, personal memory, saved voice setups, robot bindings, and extension permissions from one application.

Change only the Wi-Fi network

Open Robots → select the robot → Update network over Bluetooth. Choose the new network, enter the password, and wait for the robot to reconnect.

Create a new pairing code

Hold the physical BOOT button for about five seconds until the robot restarts and shows a new six-digit code. Add it again from Robots.

Clear rejected Wi-Fi details

If Mipo is still on the failed setup screen, the same five-second BOOT hold clears the failed Wi-Fi details as well as the old pairing so you can start cleanly.

Keep validated Wi-Fi

During normal use, the long press removes the old computer binding but preserves validated Wi-Fi. Leave “Use the robot’s current Wi-Fi” enabled unless the network itself changed.

Daily / awake

Mipo stays online with a speaker volume above 0. Use the wake name, a bound conversation, schedules, and normal device controls.

• Say “Hi, Mipo” or “你好，米波” by default
• Choose Wake every turn or Continuous conversation
• Set continuous idle timeout from 1–60 minutes

Sleep

Sleep closes the active conversation window and changes the display presentation, but keeps local wake-word detection available.

• Enter with one BOOT press while idle or a sleep request
• Wake with the wake name or one BOOT press
• Does not enter deep power-off sleep

Do Not Disturb

Setting robot speaker volume to 0 enters silent Do Not Disturb after the warning reply finishes.

• Voice recognition and voice wake are disabled
• Scheduled alarms remain audible
• Only one physical BOOT press exits and restores the saved volume

Accounts & models

Connect providers, manage accounts or API credentials, search available models, and enable only the models you want shown.

Personal memory

Choose whether stable profile details and categorized preferences may be used in chat. Do not store passwords or temporary secrets.

Agents

Select or edit companion temperaments such as gentle, cheerful, patient, calm, encouraging, or playfully sassy.

Voice

Choose speech synthesis and recognition methods, preview voices, save setups, and tune speed, pitch, and volume. The complete workflow is covered in Voice & speech below.

Appearance

Change interface palette, theme colors, motion, background, and opacity without changing the selected AI model.

Integrations

Manage plugins, skills, MCP connections, capability packs, current-information tools, and local music-player access. Review permissions before enabling an extension.

Mipo device settings

Sync volume, wake behavior, idle timeout, sleep display, screen language, expression pack, and compatible wake pronunciation to one online Mipo.

Firmware updates

Check and install Mipo firmware separately from normal device-setting sync. Keep the robot powered and online until completion.

Free online voices

More than 100 voices are available without a voice API key or a manual model download. Internet access is required while they are used.

Saved voice setups

Name and preserve a voice, speed, pitch, and volume combination. Use Preview to compare setups before selecting one.

Local speech models

A supported offline recognition or speaking model must be downloaded or imported explicitly. Mipore validates the selected model folder and stores it separately from conversations and account credentials.

Third-party voice services

Review what audio or text a service receives before connecting it. Prefer HTTPS, keep credentials in the dedicated settings, and never paste a voice-service API key into chat.

Computer time & calculator

Read the current date, time, and time zone from the computer, perform safe arithmetic, and convert common units.

Weather & reference data

Weather uses Open-Meteo; reference exchange rates and public crypto spot prices can work without a personal API key. Availability still depends on internet access.

News & market lookups

Current news returns source and publication information. Stock and market values are reference information, not trading instructions.

Enable, disable, or disconnect

Review each service status in Integrations. Disable capability packs or disconnect external services whenever you do not want them available to the companion.

Sleep or wake

One physical BOOT press toggles reversible sleep or wake during normal operation.

Do Not Disturb

Only one physical BOOT press exits Do Not Disturb and restores the previously saved speaker volume.

New pairing code

A long BOOT hold is reserved for intentionally removing the old computer binding and starting pairing again.

Wi-Fi settings sync

The target must be online for device settings to sync. Bluetooth is used for provisioning and network changes, not everyday settings delivery.

Code rejected or expired

Recheck all six digits. If the code expired or the robot no longer advertises, use the five-second BOOT hold to create a new code.

No robot or disconnected

Turn on computer Bluetooth, grant Mipore Bluetooth permission, keep the robot nearby, and retry from Robots.

Password, network, or DHCP failure

Select the network again, re-enter the password, move closer to the router, and confirm the router can assign a network address.

Wi-Fi joined but Mipo stays offline

Keep Mipore open, confirm both devices can reach each other on the network, then use Refresh connection or retry pairing.

Mipo does not hear or speak

Check that Do Not Disturb is off, the robot is bound to the intended chat, speaker volume is above 0, and the wake behavior and voice profile are valid.

Screen is black or the backlight is off

The Power saving sleep display intentionally turns off the panel and backlight. Press BOOT once or use the wake name before treating it as a failure.

Conversations and companion settings

Conversation history, personal-memory choices, agents, schedules, saved voice setups, robot bindings, and application settings are stored with Mipore on your computer. This history remains local unless you share or export a session, enable session auto-sharing, or send relevant content to a selected model or extension.

Cloud model requests

When you use a hosted model, Mipore sends the current message and the context needed to answer it to the provider you selected. Depending on the request, that context can include earlier messages, attached file content, tool results, and system instructions. The provider processes it under its own terms, retention rules, and privacy policy.

What Mipo-Cat receives

During normal conversations, Mipo-Cat exchanges the active audio, reply, display state, and device commands needed for that interaction. During setup, it also stores the Wi-Fi and pairing configuration needed to reconnect to the bound Mipore computer. It does not receive provider credentials, complete chat history, local file paths, or tool secrets.

Voice, tools, and extensions

Online speech, information tools, plugins, Skills, and MCP connections can send the input needed for their function to another service. Review the method, endpoint, and permissions before enabling it.

Website account and orders

Website sign-in, availability notifications, orders, payments, delivery, and support are separate from local Mipore conversations. Their handling is described in the website Privacy Policy.

Updates and limited incident reports

Packaged Mipore builds check the Mipore update service using version, platform, architecture, update channel, and a random update-session identifier. A serious application failure may send a strictly limited event report that excludes conversations, prompts, files and paths, account or model details, credentials, Wi-Fi information, audio, and raw crash dumps.

Provided separately

The Mipore app will be provided as a separate download when available. Public usage documentation and eligible application or firmware updates use their designated channels.

Customer-provided

A compatible computer, stable internet, Bluetooth, supported AI provider account or API access, provider fees, and a suitable 5V / 1A power adapter unless the listing states otherwise.

Not licensed with purchase

Product source code, private repositories, CAD files, and printable 3D model files are not part of a Mipo-Cat purchase.
